In Gaza, the gross humanitarian crisis continues, and most Americans don’t appreciate how much the United States is part of the problem — not part of the solution. Estimates indicate that up to 95 percent of the housing in Gaza is either destroyed or uninhabitable. Hospitals and schools are no longer functioning, if they exist at all. The surviving population has been herded into refugee camps, which are frequently targeted by Israeli air attacks. Food, water and medicine are all in short supply, and the joint American-Israeli food distribution program has turned into a killing field, with innocents slaughtered daily.
The palestinians are just as much terrorists as hamas. They let hamas live amongst them, they allowed hamas to prosper and grow. They harboured the terrorists and therefore are terrorists. There are no innocents in gaza. And all the sympathizeres here in our beautiful United States of America should be deported and sent to gaza to share the experience. Next time, maybe hamas, iran, and the radical muslim savages will think twice before grabbing the tail of a tiger.
Please stop with the Al Jazeera propaganda; “...killing fields, with innocents slaughtered daily”, “...surviving population has been herded into refugee camps…”, and “War crimes”.
Let me remind you that it was the Palestinian backed HAMAS Terrorists that paraglided into a civilian concert for peace. It was those very same Terrorists that slaughtered over 1,500 innocent men, women and children. They brutalized these people in some of the most horrific ways imaginable and live-streamed their atrocities gleefully to their Palestinian parents back home.
These are the very same people [Palestinians] who raise their children to be Anti-Semetic, Jew Haters from the time they can speak.
These are the very same people who use their own as human shields by building HAMAS strongholds and Headquarters underneath their hospitals [which HAMAS bombed and claimed Israel was responsible] and schools.
These are the same people who kidnapped hostages in exchange [extorted] for convicted Terrorist prisoners and millions of dollars.
These are the same people who have continuously rejected any 2 State solutions.
These are the same people that have been given trillions of dollars in “International Aid '' and diverted those resources to build tunnels and munitions for continuous Terrorist attacks on Israel while they seem to purposely live in their own squalor.
These are the people whose very Charter refuses to recognize Israel’s right to exist.
These are the people whose ethos is clearly “From the river to the sea”.
In other words there will never be a “Solution/Peace” until the Palestians finally stop clinging to their nihilistic death cult of Muslim Extremism and hate for Israel and Jews.
You need to stop seeing Palestinians as victims when they are clearly the instigators of the hate and violence being propagated here.
You want to discuss “War crimes”, I defy anyone to support or justify the Palestinian's actions that day or the past 50 years. If they had acted the same way to our Country we would have obliterated the entire country much sooner and with less care than the Isrealis, who have been trying to strategically avoid civilians even though they are used as human shields,
Yes, war is an ugly and grotesque enterprise, with many innocent victims, but let’s not forget that this war was brought on by the very people you would claim to be the victims.
How did that sneak attack on innocent civilians work out for Hamas and their Gaza supporters?
And why did Hamas take hostages and why are some still being held over a year later?
Obviously, anti-Israel supporters of Hamas will excuse or justify any atrocity in order to advance their political philosophy and agenda, and this letter is a case in point.
G and MEPD, you are both attempting to conflate Palestinians with Hamas. While Hamas is a terrorist organization and deserves anything we (or anyone else) can do to them, remember they're hiding among innocent civilians (making them even more reprehensible). Those civilians are caught between a rock and a hard place; the terrorists are always present, but Israel is bombing the hell out of them as if they were combatants. In general I support Israel, but their behavior in this particular episode is clearly straying into war crime territory, as they know most of the people they're bombing are innocent civilians. They have to rethink their approach and take a more targeted approach to get the right people in their sights. It's a tough situation for them too, as they were attacked, and Hamas does want to wipe them off the face of the Earth, but they will continue to lose support if they continue on their current path.
I'm not sure what you're basing your opinions on because the historical facts and stats do not support your assertions about the deep ties and connections between HAMAS and the Palestinian people. Nor Gaza and its relationship with its Arab neighbors. Just 2 stats you may find enlightening:
-71% of Palestinians supported HAMAS' terrorist attack on Oct. 7th. And that number is considered conservative.
-85% of Palestinians are against the disarmament of HAMAS in Gaza.
And while surrounding Arab countries publicly say they support the Palestinians, in private, none of them will accept them as refugees and see them as nothing but a source of instability within their own countries.
To quote Golda Meir, "We will only have peace with the Arabs [Palestinians] when they love their children more than they hate us."
Historically, and there is no disputing this, Palestinian children are raised to hate Jews and wipe Israel from the face of the Earth. They aren't too keen on homosexuals or trans people either. In contrast, Israel has all types of Middle Eastern and other people living and prospering together.
The bottom line: Don't be so naive about the interrelationship between HAMAS and the Palestinians because the two are practically indistinguishable.
MEPD, your figures are cherry picked to support your argument, and ignore other polls that show vastly different results. Cite your sources. Also, your logic is flawed, as you seek to once again conflate interests. I'm sure many Palestinians, having seen what the Israelis are doing to them in Gaza, are feeling like Hamas is the only protection they have, as the Israelis have acted abominably. The Palestinian Center for Policy and Survey Research shows support for Hamas among Palestinians is a very complex issue, but usually resides in the 30-40% range.
I normally support Israel, and they certainly have every reason to fight back, but they are handling this really poorly, and are committing war crimes. It's not genocide, as some people are saying, but there are definitely atrocities going on.
There is no easy answer to Middle East peace, as the hatred and mistrust on both sides seems to run too deep to hope for peace.
