CONWAY — The town of Conway continues to withhold details of the complaints that prompted an outside investigation into alleged personnel allegations, but documents released by the town point to former Selectman John Colbath as the subject of those complaints.

The long-serving selectman resigned in April for "personal reasons beyond my control," but gave no further explanation. Adding to the mystery of Colbath's departure was the resignation of Selectman Chair Mary Carey Seavey, who also gave no reason for leaving. Town officials have made it clear that Seavey was not part of the investigation, which cost the town $27,000.
