WOLFEBORO — The state Department of Transportation will host an open house next Thursday, July 23, to provide information about proposed improvements to a 1.6-mile section of Route 28 in Wolfeboro and answer questions from the public.

The project covers Route 28 from the intersection with Pleasant Valley Road to the intersection with Route 109 at Pickering Corner. According to NHDOT, the work is intended to improve pavement conditions, drainage and water quality, and enhance mobility and safety for all users of the corridor.
