TAMWORTH — About 40 people attended a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the Mary Mullarkey All Persons Trail and then walked the quarter-mile length of the trail to a viewing platform above the Chocorua River.
The trail is located off Scott Road, across Route 16 from the Bowditch Runnells State Forest and just south of Washington Hill Road. It features a compacted stone dust surface, boardwalk sections with railings over wet areas, benches, and ends at an overlook of the Chocorua River.
