To the editor:

It is encouraging to see so many candidates sign up for the various boards and committees this year. In particular, the Conway Municipal Budget Committee has more candidates than openings (a rare occurrence) as does the planning board, and this in turn offers voters an opportunity to select people with new and perhaps more enlightened perspectives.
