To the editor:

Placing a 154-foot cell tower in the forefront of Cathedral Ledge would create an undue “adverse visual impact” on one of the Mount Washington Valley’s most iconic natural and historic landmarks. With the establishment of Ledge State Park in 1946, this spectacular 700-foot granite cliff towering above the town of North Conway and the Saco River Valley has been preserved. It has been an internationally known New England climbing site since the first ascent in 1929.
