To the editor:

The final Jan. 6 hearing of the summer struck a chord with me.

As an “Initiated” Retired Veteran [and a son of a Veteran and the father of a Veteran] of the Cold War and the Global War On Terror, I respectfully challenge your assertion that I can’t support Trump and the Constitution simultaneously. I find your insinuation to be insulting, intellectually dishonest, and politically absurd. And while you are entitled to your opinion, that’s all it is, your opinion.

You purport to uphold the Constitution yet seem perfectly willing to suspend any, and all semblance of its key tenets; Equal application of the law, Innocent until proven guilty, Due Process, Cross-examination, or Presenting Countervailing Evidence during this one-sided sham of a clearly partisan “Commission”. Their only goal is to quash any possibility of another Trump presidency and intimidate any of his supporters with politically motivated prosecutions. The whole thing resembles Stalin’s show trials. Your first clue should be the way the networks are broadcasting it and how it is being professionally produced. Всероссийская государственная телевизионная и радиовещательная компания couldn’t have done it better.

Perhaps you should read the FBI REPORT on their findings on what happened on January 6th:

“The FBI has found scant evidence that the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol was the result of an organized plot to overturn the presidential election result, according to four current and former law enforcement officials. ...the FBI at this point believes the violence was not centrally coordinated by far-right groups or prominent supporters of then-President Donald Trump… "Ninety to ninety-five percent of these are one-off cases," said a former senior law enforcement official with knowledge of the investigation. ...they found no evidence that the groups had serious plans about what to do if they made it inside… ...the FBI has so far found no evidence that he (Trump) or people directly around him were involved in organizing the violence, according to the four current and former law enforcement officials.”

Here’s a suggestion; Aim your consternation at the Summer of Love Riots [real insurrections] as the Democrats supported the wanton mayhem and destruction of towns and cities across the Country. How about a Congressional investigation(s) into their origins, funding, and support, including our sitting VP? How about the soft coup attempt by Democrats with the Russia Hoax, Mueller Investigation, Steele Dossier, or Secret Sever? Is anybody going to expose Hunter Biden or "The Big Guy"? Are you even curious about that laptop or the CCP connections? Just asking because there is a ton of evidence to support all of those misdeeds.

How do you feel about the obliteration of our southern border and our national sovereignty?

Did you get a warm fuzzy over what happened in Afghanistan? I know I didn’t. Are you happy with being energy dependent on dubious suppliers? And just where is Ray Epps?

I could find far more things being done by the current President and his administration to concern me when it comes to the Constitution being violated or our national security being threatened.

And yes, I do have questions about that last election that have gotten conveniently swept under the rug, dismissed, and otherwise ignored.

As one of the “Initiated”, I find these things, and our current trajectory very disturbing.

The greatest heresy to Trump acolytes is the truth.

You nailed it. Too bad Donald Trump wasn't the one who took a header down a flight of stairs.
