To the editor:

When Al Hospers sings the praises of the Rec Path, touting the great diversity of people enjoying Phase 1, he makes a strong argument for Phase 2 not being needed. I’m pretty sure that wasn’t his intent.

Trails people trying to urbanize NH. Shame on them

What makes the expansion of the Rec Path advantageous is that it lengthens the route, thereby increasing its efficiency. It allows people in Intervale to bike all the way to Walmart. I think the plan is to eventually connect the path to Maine. It also allows people in the Cranmore area to bike to the scenic vista, which is a great spot.

If you've ever been to Cape Cod, they have an excellent bike trail system which goes on for maybe 50 miles. It can be ridden at any point in either direction, depending on where you want to go.

The idea that we have Phase One and why would we need Phase Two is like saying we have Cranmore, why do we need Attitash...and Wildcat...and....etc.
