To the editor:

For the past seven months, I worked on the Cory Booker campaign for president. Whether you agree with his politics or not, he is an exemplary definition of what it means to be a decent human being. The core of our campaign was based on love, on rising to the occasion in times of hatred, divisiveness, and oppression, and on the realization that, as Cory Booker said, “beating Donald Trump is the floor, not the ceiling. It will bring us out of the valley but it will not get us to the mountaintop.”
