To the editor:

The Musk-Trump teams have scored a couple of definite pluses. President Donald Trump is removing undocumented, lower-educated, poor, non-English-speaking illegal immigrants — along with some legal ones — while Elon Musk indiscriminately eliminates highly educated federal workers.

The United States is beginning to see a brain drain with many of our top young scientists and researchers accepting positions in Europe or Canada. The Trump administration's cutting off or slowing down grants to the National Institutes of Health and National Health Foundation has many top foreign research universities and institutes recruiting some of our top talent. Needless to say, this weakens our nation in many ways.
