BERLIN — Two properties listed on the real estate transfer list for February 2026 are of particular note for the Berlin and greater Coos County community: the sale of the long-vacant motel on Pleasant Street, near the city’s entrance, and the sale of the former La Casita Restaurant.

For at least the past several years, the motel near Berlin Marketplace has been boarded up. In the warmer weather, grass or weeds sprout from cracks in the parking spaces; on snowy winter days, accumulations of the white flakes fill the spaces.
