To the editor:On behalf of the fund-raising parents of the Kennett Middle Schools eighth-grade trip to Washington D.C., we would like to publicly thank the following businesses that generously donated to the Kennett Middle Schools Halloween Benefit Dance, which was held on Friday, Oct. 26.The Kennett Middle School's cafeteria was adorned with pumpkins galore, creating the perfect atmosphere for the evenings events. A special thank you to LCR Nursery, McSherrys Nursery, Schartners Farm and Gloria Tibbetts for donating all those glorious pumpkins, and to middle school teachers Kathy Cuddy, Jess Sherman and Liesel Shuff for carving and painting them with students! Wed also like to thank Hannaford, The Paper Factory, Andre Van Coesant of Jammin DJ Entertainment, and Kevin Richard, Lassie Pratt, Bonnie LaFontaine and Gerald Woodsome for helping to make the evening a success for all. This annual eighth-grade trip to D.C. is scheduled for the spring of 2008 and wouldnt be possible without the support of our teachers, parents and community. Watch for our next exciting fund-raising event. The Harlem Rockets vs. The Valley Dream Team in a hilariously funny, comedy basketball game that will be held on Thursday, Nov. 15, at Kennett Middle School. Tickets are on sale now and are available at all Conway elementary schools, Madison Elementary School, Freedom Elementary School, and Northway Bank in Intervale and Northway Bank in Conway. Thank you all again for your support.
