I’m writing to share thoughts on the growing market demand for astro-tourism and how the Mount Washington Valley may be positioned to capitalize on this global market, estimated at half a billion dollars annually.

On April 11, Teton County, Wyo., made history by becoming the first entire county to be certified as an International Dark Sky Community by DarkSky International. Even its local airport, Jackson Hole Airport, became the first airport to be certified as an International Dark Sky Place.

Now this is something everyone should be able to get behind. Wouldn't it be great to be able to see the stars again? Maybe even the Arora Borialis once again.
