Thank you, letter-writers Linda Stetson and Carlene Wilson, for your excellent summaries of the folly of Americans voting for the traitorous criminal instead of the normal woman prosecutor, and to Robert Sawyer for his fine points about the global rise in authoritarianism, the American economy, and the lack of understanding of it by many Americans.

The MAGA crowd is confused. They seem to think that Donald Trump’s election win somehow validates their belief in him or makes him better in some way. It doesn’t. A con is still a con no matter how many people fall for it.

Reading your Op/Ed reminds me of the abandoned WWII Japanese soldier living in a cave on Okinawa who still thinks the war is going on, and refuses to surrender.

Have fun living in your cave while the rest of the world moves on without you.

If by moving on you mean back to the 50's like Trump and his bigoted cult members desire, no thanks, I'll stay in the real world.

Like I said (I know you don't read things, you see a couple things that threated your dear leader's lies and start repeating them again) in my column, no matter how many people fall for a con, it doesn't change that it's a con. Trump is a complete con, and you are one of the many folks that have fallen for it. I pity you, and am saddened by your obvious desire to believe his BS, which is mostly rooted in bigotry.

Most people have only fallen for part of the con, but you've fallen completely. Someday you'll wake up and smell the truth, and you will rightfully be ashamed of ever having been snookered by such an obvious con man. After all, I'd imagine the first lesson of running a con is not to tell obvious, easily disproven lies. Trump does just that, and the ignorant believe him, even though the means to see the truth are literally at their fingertips. History will judge you harshly, but some of us already know.

Must be nice to live in a bubble where high prices or violent immigration crime or crime in general don't affect you. Leave your bubble and turn off MSNBC for once.

Biden was not responsible for high prices, the pandemic effects on the supply chain were, just like they caused the scarcities we saw under Trump.

Migrant crime was a campaign ploy that is a complete lie that people like you, who don't bother to fact-check anything, fell for. Studies consistently show immigrants commit less crime on a percentage basis than natural U.S. citizens.

Crime is down significantly under Biden from where it was under Trump.

You are doing what MAGA cult members do, projecting your actions on others, when you try to talk about leaving your bubble. The only way you could believe the lies you spouted here is if you get your "information" from Fox, NewsMax, or Trump.

Get a clue, get out in the real world, fact-check everything you see or hear. The truth shall set you free of the clutches of the cult.
