This has been a tumultuous two months in New Hampshire politics. November saw the House, the Senate and the Executive Council switch from blue to red. Happiness swept the Republicans, and we knew we had a lot to do before we actually got down to the work of the Legislature.

The Republican Caucus elected Dick Hinch to be our Republican nominee for speaker. The Constitution requires the Legislature to meet the first Wednesday in December for the legislators to be sworn in as well as elect the speaker of the House, the House clerk, the secretary of state and the treasurer.
