It was a politically boisterous week in northern New England. Head of the N.H. Libertarian party Jeremy Kaufman, excommunicated from the Free Staters in 2023 for being even too racist, antisemitic and homophobic for them, scored again. He got his NH Libertarian Party ousted from the national libertarian party after giving an inflammatory speech at their national convention. The national party committee, in a vote of 15 to 2, gave Kaufman and his ilk the boot.

And then RFK Jr., during his "Take Back Your Health" tour, graced the Granite State with a visit to the N.H. Statehouse where he spoke on combatting Lyme disease. Kennedy's speech revealed that, despite having spent a significant part of his childhood in Hyannis Port, Mass., aka "tick central," he knows surprisingly little about the insects and Lyme disease transmission. It will surprise nobody that there was no mention of a vaccine, despite one being in advanced development and undergoing several clinical trials.
