The Bartlett Congregational Church has a busy weekend planned. There will be a yard and bake sale on Saturday, June 6, from 8 a.m. to noon. The sale features vintage farm tools, vintage vinyl records, housewares, furniture, tools and more. On Sunday, June 7, Pastor John Heropoulos will preside over the worship service and sacrament of communion starting at 10 a.m. All are welcome to join the worship service on Sundays at 10 a.m., followed by a social gathering to meet or reconnect with friends.
Are you a backyard chicken keeper, or have you always wondered about the possibility? Join the Bartlett Public Library on Tuesday, June 9, at 7 p.m. for a discussion of Under the Henfluence by Tove Danovich. This book examines the lives of backyard chickens, helping us understand their behavior while highlighting the ethical and social considerations often overlooked during the development of industrial agriculture. Copies of the book are available at the library.
