Having worked closely with Bill Marsh for the six years that we served together in the New Hampshire House of Representatives, I disagree with Suzanne Nelson’s assertion that Marsh’s vote on an abortion bill represents a lack of courage.

We were both elected in 2016. He, a centrist Republican, and I, a centrist Democrat, had very similar backgrounds and positions. We both had careers as surgeons and found ourselves thrust into an entirely new arena.
