Every time I fly I try for a window seat.

There is nothing else in the world like watching the ground disappear, the buildings shrink to miniature, the cars gliding over tiny roads like toys, then specks. Soon white clouds streak past, gilded by either sunrise or sunset, and we’re crossing America a timezone at a time.
