CONWAY — There's a new spirit of collaboration between local military service organizations this Veterans Day, and it's a change that will carry over for the rest of the year, noted Frank McCarthy, commander of American Legion Post 95 in North Conway and Audley Williams, new commander of Ralph W. Shirley American Legion Post 46 in Conway.

Williams, an Air Force veteran long known in the valley for his master of ceremonies work on behalf of volunteer events, and a deejay at 103.7-FM, became post commander in October, succeeding Post 46 Commander Henry Michalski, who stepped down after serving for three years in that capacity.
