Henry Villaume is the newest member of the Bartlett School Board. The board voted to appoint him last week while at its goal setting meeting. He will fill out the remaining six months of the term vacated by Maureen Westrick, who moved to Conway.Board chairman Vicki Harlow said two candidates submitted their names for the post, but the board (Nancee Caughey, Frank Moffatt and David Lennon) went with Villaume based on his vast experience, having served on the school board in the past. "We were delighted that Henry was interested," Harlow said. "He has a real passion for the school and loves to get involved. He was on the school board in the past, has served on the planning board, and was involved on the facilities committee. He's been active in so many ways and for him to want to be even more involved is just great. I know he'll do a good. He wants to help us and we're grateful for his help."Villaume, is already adjusting to his new role. Thursday night he attended his first meeting as a board member, sitting in at the AREA Board meeting at Conway Elementary School. The Bartlett School Board will hold its regualrly scheduled monthly meeting on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. in the library.
