OSSIPEE — The town of Tamworth's lawyer filed a response to fired former police chief Penny Colby's lawsuit. In it, he asked the court to deny her requests.

Colby, of Albany, had served with the Tamworth Police Department since 2008. She was tapped by an independent committee to replace Chief Dan Poirier, who retired Feb. 1. She was sworn in as chief Feb. 25.
