CONWAY — The word “fern” connotes something that thrives in warm and wet conditions. But Winter Storm Fern on Sunday and Monday was anything but, bringing over a foot of dry powdery snow that started Sunday afternoon at about 1 p.m. and continued most of the day Monday.

Another 2-3 inches were expected Monday night before the storm left.
