(The Center Square) — Maine U.S. Sen. Susan Collins joined a handful of Republican lawmakers who voted to approve a war powers resolution Tuesday aimed at blocking President Donald Trump's military actions in Iran.

Collins, who is facing a tough reelection battle in November's midterms, joined nearly all Democrats in a 50-48 Senate vote to pass a war powers resolution regarding the Iran conflict.
