CONWAY — It may have rained, even poured for awhile, but Mother Nature didn't put a damper on the town's annual Fourth of July Celebration. Despite the rain, the parade, entertainment, including the first chili dog eating contest to benefit the Wounded Warriors, and even fireworks went off as planned albeit with a few thousand fewer people in Schouler Park.

"I wish the weather had been better but the forecast changed on us," John Eastman, recreation director for the town of Conway, said.
