JACKSON — The Wildcat Inn and Tavern is hoping to be back in full operation by Thursday after replacing its old furnace following an incident Sunday when a cracked boiler in the oil-burning furnace led to smoke filling the inn’s basement and set off alarms, said owner Stu Dunlop.
Dunlop said Monday: “Repairs are underway, and we are putting in a new furnace. We want to thank the Jackson Fire Department for their prompt response. And we would be in a real jam were it not for the efforts of Tom Smith/Vernon Smith Plumbing, Jon Hurteau Heating and Plumbing and Scot Montgomery, who are working to get us back in business.”
