STOW, Maine — A varied thrush, a bird native to the Pacific Northwest, has been frequenting a bird feeder in the yard of Valley Vision producer Bill Edmunds’ parents in Stow, Maine.

Wildlife expert Chris Lewey of Interpretive Wildlife Programs describes the varied thrush as a “striking songbird with black, white and orange markings, similar in size and shape to its more familiar cousin, the American robin.”
