FRYEBURG, Maine — There’s a new plastic waste reduction initiative in town — at least at Fryeburg Academy, where it is being run by students, for students.

Sophomore Luke Sekera-Flanders of Fryeburg, age 15, is leading a student group that is not only trying to reduce plastic at school but hopes the push will spread into the community and beyond.
