CONWAY — Despite afternoon showers, the White Mountains Pride Festival held in the park next to the North Conway Community Center attracted good attendance, including a celebrity guest, U.S. Rep. Chris Pappas.

The June 29 event was part of Pride Month, and organizer Chris Bellis said he thought the month “has gone great. I think sharing our stories and sharing conversations is the important part. And our goal is to promote acceptance and encourage love and acceptance of people who may feel different.”
