HARRISON — The United Parish Concert Series presents Boardman, Gawler & Muise this Sunday, June 14 at 3 p.m. at the church located at 77 Main Street in Harrison.

Many of us know Greg, Elsie, and Steve from their past performances in Bowdoinham and throughout Maine. They have played as a trio for a few years and we look forward to hearing their talents together. Greg brought his unique fiddle style and musical vision to Maine in the 1970s, where he gathered music from the older generation of country and traditional musicians. He founded Maine Fiddle Camp in 1994 and just retired from 30 years of teaching strings in the Lewiston schools. Elsie grew up in the musical Gawler Family surrounded by traditional tunes and songs, and has branched out as a composer, singer, and multi-instrumentalist. She also performs with her husband, Ethan, their band Springtide, and with the fiddle super-group Childsplay. Steve’s music arose from his family’s heritage in Nova Scotia, but his talents spiral through jazz, bluegrass, and other dimensions. He too is a celebrated music educator and leads the Franklin County Fiddlers.
