CONCORD — Communities and organizations in six rural counties will share $11 million in federal funds awarded through grants from the Northern Border Regional Commission.

Created by Congress in 2008, the NBRC is a federal-state partnership working to alleviate economic challenges in northern counties across New Hampshire, Vermont, Maine and New York. In New Hampshire, projects are eligible for the Catalyst program in Belknap, Carroll, Cheshire, Coos, Grafton and Sullivan counties.
