CONWAY — Mother Nature delivered a nice Christmas present to snowsports lovers Tuesday, with 5-8 inches of nice white fluffy snow throughout Mount Washington Valley.

Brian Fitzgerald, director of education for the non-profit Mount Washington Observatory, said North Conway Village received 5.4 inches of new snow bringing the total for the month up to 16.1 inches, compared with 16.9 inches which is the normal for December.
