FRYEBURG, Maine — The MSAD 72 School District voted down a request by the town of Fryeburg to pay for the removal of an abandoned underground storage tank on the C.A. Snow School property at its July 11 board meeting.

A report from the district had mistakenly reported the tank as having been removed prior to a town vote in June to buy the Snow school for $1. Voters also set aside $10,000 for maintenance.
