JACKSON — A 68-year-old Jackson man who climbed all of New Hampshire’s 4.000-footers in less than 30 days, successfully raised $4,600 for a North Conway food pantry.

Carl Pearson, who began at the Direttissima Trail on June 1. He showed a screenshot of his bank account that indicates the money will be sent to Vaughan electronically on July 9. He finished on June 29. He raised $4,600 for Vaughan Community Services Inc.’s food pantry. Several hundred dollars came from Sun readers who read about him last month shortly after he had started his limb.
