CONWAY — Faced with a budget that is up $1.1 million over the previous year and revenues projected to be down some $400,000 from this school year, the Conway School Board is reluctant to add new staff to the district’s bottom line.

However, it did add two teaching positions to the budget, both at Kennett Middle School. The board is supporting creating a middle school alternative education position and adding a half-time band director position.
