MADISON — Residents at Madison’s annual town meeting March 14 voted against spending $8,000 on an investigation into town employee use of town property.

Article 24 on the warrant asked voters decide whether to spend up to $8,000 on an independent investigation into town employees’ personal use of public equipment. It failed by a secret ballot vote of 82 no to 62 yes votes.
