CONCORD — An adult education program that allows people over 21 to get their high school diplomas and helps teens who struggle in a traditional classroom is facing steep cuts in funding from both the state and federal government.

NH Adult Education Directors Alliance co-chair Deanna Strand told the Sun on Wednesday: “Basically, what’s happening is the New Hampshire Legislature essentially eliminated from the House budget the line item that funds the adult high school diploma program.”
