SHELBURNE — Kentucky Gov. Matt Bevin, who finally conceded defeat in his bid for a second term after a recanvass of votes showed him still 5,000 votes behind challenger Andy Beshear, actually hails from the North Country of New Hampshire.

Bevin’s loss came as a shock since President Donald Trump strongly endorsed his re-election and campaigned for him.
