BARTLETT — The Bartlett School Board announced at its Dec. 23 meeting that it was giving Josiah Bartlett Elementary School staff a $1.50 per hour raise, effective immediately. But the man who orchestrated the raise, educational paraprofessional Sean McCarthy, says it’s not enough.

For two consecutive years, McCarthy has submitted warrant articles seeking to increase pay for teachers and staff. Last March, at annual school meeting, voters approved two of his articles to give salary increases, but the board overruled them.
