JACKSON — In an effort to raise funds for the victims of two of the worst cyclones in Africa’s history, a presentation and screening of the documentary, “Namuli,” about Mozambique, will be held at the Whitney Center in Jackson from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 22.
Organizers of the event are Jackson residents Dr. Angus Badger of Memorial Hospital; his wife, Rachel Vose; and “Namuli” director and author Majka Burhardt, founder of Legado, a nonprofit organization dedicated to “protecting the world’s most threatened ecosystems by empowering the people who call them home.”
