MADISON — Weeks after devastating flooding caused nearly $2.9 million in damage in Madison, the town is finally getting a disaster declaration.

Gov. Kelly Ayotte on Wednesday asked President Donald Trump to issue a major disaster declaration and provide federal assistance for Carroll County communities that were hit by the June 10-11 storm that washed out portions of Route 113, closing the highway until June 30.
