CONWAY — Winter Storm Ezekiel even had an impact of politics.
Democratic presidential candidate Tulsi Gabbard (a congresswoman from Hawaii) announced Tuesday morning she was “rescheduling her house parties in Sandwich (planned for Tuesday night) and in Intervale (Wednesday) due to the weather conditions.”
Gabbard had also planned to attend an editorial board at the Sun on Wednesday afternoon.
Gabbard, who was last in Carroll County in March at a campaign stop at Hobb’s Tavern, and who hosted a Berlin town hall-style meeting in October, planned to be in Sandwich on Tuesday, when she was to attend a house party at John Wendell and Vicky Dworkin’s home at 12 Little Pond Road. On Wednesday, she had a planned appearance at a house party in Intervale at 19 Alpstrausse at the home of Steve Gallas,
During the next few days, she will host a town hall at the Community Oven from 4:30-6 p.m. in Hampton on Thursday,; attend a house party at 58 Tyler Hill Road in Jaffrey from 5-6:30 p.m. on Friday; and take part in a town hall at the Arbor Restaurant in Nashua from 6-7:30 p.m. next Monday, Dec. 9.
Her campaign says that the Hawaii congresswoman will share her thoughts about “costly regime change wars, the new Cold War and arms race, and investing U.S. resources in serving the needs of the American people.”
