HART’S LOCATION — Railroad ties seen burning near the Ripley Falls trailhead in Crawford Notch State Park were extinguished by firefighters last Saturday afternoon.
At 3:56 p.m., Bartlett firefighters were dispatched for a report of black smoke and flames seen in the area of the trailhead, which is off Route 302 about 5 miles north of the Notchland Inn in Hart’s Location and close to the Mountain Division train tracks.
