CONWAY — Selectmen on Tuesday discussed purchasing a plot of land on Greenwood Avenue near the Conway Public Library, to be used as a parking lot. Some abutters oppose the plan due to concerns about possible late-night disturbances and the potential for medical staff to occupy spaces during the day.

The land in question is 0.85 acres, with parcel ID 276-57, and is owned by Seth and Heather Burnell. It has an assessed value of $42,900. The selectmen are considering purchasing a 90-by-90-foot section of the property that could accommodate 14-18 parking spaces. A large tree on the parcel would remain untouched.
