OSSIPEE — The 81-year-old Madison man who pleaded guilty in Carroll County Superior Court to voting for president in more than one state during the 2016 general election received a two-month suspended sentence, the New Hampshire Attorney General’s Office announced last Friday.

In the news release, State Attorney General Gordon J. MacDonald said that Charles Eugene Cartier Jr., who also lives in Attleboro, Mass. pleaded guilty to “Voting in More than One State Prohibited” — a Class B felony.
