CONWAY — State laws have changed, and now towns must opt out of having keno or allowing additional charitable gaming facilities, the town’s senior staff told selectmen Tuesday. The board said it would take up the subject at a future meeting.

In recent years, Conway voters have repeatedly rejected articles to allow Keno in town, including in 2023, when 75 percent of voters turned it down. By state law, Keno can be played in restaurants, bars and stores.
