CONWAY — The first violation notices to property owners who are out of compliance with the Conway rental program may go out in October, said Deputy Town Manager Paul DegliAngeli and Zoning Enforcement Officer Nicholas DeVito during an interview with the Sun last week.

On April 9, town voters passed Article 24 to allow the inspection and regulation of long- and short-term rentals. The program requires rental properties to undergo a life safety inspection by DeVito and fire officials. If the rentals pass, town officials will grant a certificate of rental compliance. The inspection program is an amendment to the town’s Housing Standards code.
