CONWAY — Replacing the Conway Lake boat launch got underway last week and is expected to be completed at the end of next week. In order to do that work, the lake was lowered to levels not seen in about 40 years.
“The lake was drawn down roughly 4 feet,” said Conway Public Works Director Andrew Smith in an email to the Sun on Tuesday. “As soon as the work that is affected by water level is complete, the dam will be closed to bring the water back to normal winter level.”
