CONWAY — A California couple and a New Hampshire man have sued the Kearsarge Lighting Precinct in federal court, alleging the precinct’s short-term rental ordinance is unconstitutional because of an owner-occupation requirement.

The KLP covers parts of Bartlett and North Conway. In addition to handling street lighting it has zoning responsibilities. The lawsuit has statewide import.

Due diligence ! If your purchasing property, it is mandatory that you do your due diligence and investigate your purchase to the fullest extent.

Those purchasing property within the KLP are well aware of its existence. It is discusting that they now want to change it. Legal action against the KLP is a direct assault upon our nieghbors.

It is those living within the K L P who have chosen and accept the covenants therein who suffer from these rediculous actions. The KLP has been upheld by the supreme court on numerous accounts. Stop attacking us !
