CONWAY — The Conway Area Humane Society, in conjunction with the Humane Society of the United States, recently presented New Hampshire Senate Majority Leader Jeb Bradley (R-Wolfeboro) with the Humane Legislator of the Year Award.

The award honors Bradley for his leadership and commitment to strengthening regulations for commercial dog breeders, enhancing penalties for egregious animal cruelty and his efforts to take some of the financial burden to care for animals rescued from cruelty off the taxpayer and non-profit community and onto the defendant charged with cruelty.
